I. About this methodology

This methodology, named ECVET based evaluation/certification methodology for
evaluating and certifying the knowledge, skills and competencies acquired through MAJMIN
training course, hereinafter referred to as Methodology, was designed in the framework of
the project “MAJMIN: Major competencies to manage minor offenders”, financed by the
European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci sectoral
programme.
MAJMIN is a Development of Innovation Project having the grant agreement no. 517580-
LLP-1-2011-1-RO-LEONARDO-LMP. MAJMIN aims to increase the specific professional
training provisions that will enforce the involvement of different parts involved in the
management of juvenile crime, for a better response to the needs for social inclusion of
minor offenders. In order to achieve this goal, the MAJMIN consortium has designed:
(1) an EQF based curriculum for VET training of professionals (those from juridical, penalty,
social, pedagogical, psychological and medical assistance plus family members of minor
offenders);
(2) a set of VET provisions including a methodological guide, a handbook, an eLearning
facility and an ECVET based evaluation/certification methodology;
(3) a MAJMIN training course for all the above mentioned categories of professionals.
The MAJMIN training course was meant to improve and increase the expertise of the
professionals who work with minor offenders, in order to encourage their skills of
interoperability, pro-actives behaviours, cooperation and interrelation, providing them with
support and assistance as for legal, criminal, social, pedagogical, psychological and medical
issues, in order to insure a better response to the needs of social inclusion of minor
offenders or at risk of penal crimes. The MAJMIN training course has duration of 48 contact
hours and is accredited with 3 ECVET credits. It contains 8 chapters, namely:

1. Definitions
2. EQF at a glance
3. EQF Descriptors
4. Maps of learning outcomes – the starting point…
5. Actors, professional groups, institutions to which this Curriculum address...
6. MAJMIN specific learning outcomes for the focused actors
